CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS

INTELLIDANCE is for 3 months – 4 years of age. A playful & creative approach to movement education in the early years. Our programs are based on current practices in early childhood development & education, coupled with child and caregiver approved fun!


ME & MY SHADOW is for ages 16 months to 3 year olds. This is a program that has been developed to enjoy the benefits of a dance program at an early age. Me & My Shadow promotes motor skills, coordination, balance, social interaction and the introduction to dance movement in a playful manner. Me & My Shadow is with mommy, daddy or caregiver.

MOVE & GROOVE is for 2 to 4 year olds. This is a program that has been developed to enjoy the benefits of a dance program at an early age. Move & Groove promotes motor skills, coordination, balance, social interaction and the introduction to dance movement in a playful manner.  Move & Groove II for our youngest dancers who wants to express their independence without the assistance of mom or dad. Dancers will experience many styles of dance, including tap, jazz, ballet, acrobatics, and hippity hop. 

HIPPITY HOP 
is mini hip hop for ages 4-7 year olds! Hippity Hop is a high energy street style of dance. This class is for energetic little ones who love to move! Dancers will learn basic jazz technique and hip hop moves while developing rhythm and confidence. Music is age appropriate and will encourage an engaging, high energy class.

JUMP TUMBLE CHEER This is a GREAT class for the student ages 3-7 years old. Students will learn cheers, chants, jumps and formations that are age appropriate. They will also work on acrobatic/tumbling skills in a progressive manner. They will learn pom pom styled dance routines as well as incorporate obstacle courses to help with strength, conditioning and flexibility while learning is a fun environment. It’s a popular class for our young aspiring cheerleaders!

CHEER /TUMBLING PEP RALLY
 We’ll bring out your little ones inner spirit as we introduce them to the beginning skills that cheerleading teams require. For the more advanced cheerleader we will move on to advanced tumbling and stunting skills that are needed on and off the field. Each class, they’ll partake in tumbling, cheers, motion technique, chants, drills, stretches, jumps and a high-energy dance routine. Our pep rally also focuses on teamwork, building trust, and channeling their “inner leader” with cheer posters, so they can bring their “rahs” home to you.

KINDERDANCE 
This program is grouped into age-specific levels for ages 2.9 - 6 years. (2.9-year-olds are accepted if fully potty trained)
These classes meet once a week and last one hour. Each class begins with a brief sharing time. Class continues with Ballet and Tap.

An additional class is offered for 45 minutes. This class includes tumbling and team cheer which will help students develop coordination, rhythm, and musicality as well as learning how to work and share with others.

A JAZZ class is also offered at this age level to students registered in a ballet/tap combination class and have taken one previous year of dance. BALLET
A graded program from beginner through advanced. In this class, the emphasis is placed on proper technique and style.

TECHNIQUE CLASSES

POINTE Open to students 10 years and older who have developed the strength to work successfully and without exposure to physical injury.

TAP One of the most enjoyable and typical American dance forms, invaluable for its development of rhythm.

JAZZ/HIP HOP This program incorporates Jazz and Hip Hop in one class. This program teaches jazz technique and combines the movement of hip-hop utilizing pop music. The combination of the two is ideal for the 6-8-year-old students.

JAZZ A contemporary form of dance incorporating musical theatre styles and based on movement using contemporary, Broadway and pop music.

HIP HOP An enjoyable form of street-like dancing with fun pop music incorporated with the development of proper technique. Dancer must be enrolled in a jazz class in order to participate in this program.

LYRIC/CONTEMPORARY Open to students 8 and older who want to explore dance through creativity and an individualistic approach. Dancer must be enrolled in Ballet class to enroll in this program.

GYMNASTICS/ACRO/CHEER Our goal is to develop well-rounded gymnasts/cheerleaders here at The Dance Centers Of Dartmouth. Motor skills, strength, balance, flexibility, and muscle tone are all the aspects of the development of gymnastics. This class will prepare you in flexibility, stunts, jumps, cheers, and cheer dances.

COMPETITION INTENSIVE
Openings in the intensive program and the TDE Co. Dance Team are limited to dancers who are motivated to be the best they can be. It isn't about winning the trophy; it is about motivating dancers to be team players, striving for excellence, not perfection.

STRONG by Zumba is a high intensity interval training workout driven by the science of Synced Music Motivation. STRONG by Zumba is a High Intensity Interval Training class using more traditional fitness moves for a more athletic, conditioning-style workout.

Zumba combines low and high energy dance movements, with intervals of fast and slow rhythms. The dances are repetitive and very easy to follow, so everyone can do them. Just remember to keep moving and most importantly have fun!

ADULT PROGRAMS

All DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT classes are the perfect way to escape reality with your friends & get in amazing shape at the same time. Fun & effective, our various group fitness classes are for all levels of fitness & offer enough variety to accommodate anyone’s tastes. Every class will have modifications for all exercises & movement. Are you looking for a workout that challenges you, pushes you to be your very best and also makes you feel confident & unstoppable? We have the right work out for you, where fitness meets the Art of Dance!


NUTRITION PROGRAM designed to increase muscle mass while eliminating unwanted body fat. Individual and group sessions will be provided weekly along with daily monitoring to help you track your eating habits. This eight week program of "clean eating", along with a consistent exercise routines will maximize your results. Starting measurements and your finals successful measurements are included.
(additional $25.00 per month, 2 month minimum to begin)

BUTTS AND GUTS This class will blast your two biggest problem areas to Tone and Tighten your midsection and backside. This class includes a variety of workouts including both cardio and strength training. This workout focuses on both endurance and strength training….but don’t worry with our stations your work out never get boring or tedious.

DANCE
Adult may take class in Tap and/or Hip Hop/Jazz. Students in our adult classes learn movement and combinations in a comfortable setting. Many of our adult students use this program for fitness and a social activity, which is our number one reason we offer this program.


JUMP AROUND AIROBICS Done on a mini trampoline, this high-intensity, low impact cardioworkout will blast your core and tone your whole body

FIT BODY BOOT CAMP Are you someone that wants to take the first step but you aren’t sure where to begin. During FBBC you will be doing group fitness as well as one on one personal training. stretches, calisthenics (push-ups, sit-ups, lunges), drills, strength workouts using dumbbells, medicine balls, circuit training, running drills, obstacle courses and whatever other surprises we have in store for that day.

We try to make the workouts fun and challenging at the same time. The more effort you put into the class, the more results you will get out of it.
